Year 2 - Spelling and Phonics use the word lists of the 2014 English Curriculum to teach spelling, phonics, grammar and build vocabulary. Pupils are presented with a range of activities based on the words lists in each unit including crosswords and wordsearches as well as cloze procedures and stories for dictation and comprehension. Literacy for Life provides a term-by-term programme of exercises to build skills in reading, comprehension, spelling and writing.
