About Us
SEN Books is a specialist bookshop, offering an extensive range of resources on dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, autism, and many other learning difficulties. We are committed to supporting teachers, parents, and professionals in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by providing high-quality, carefully selected books and publications.
For over 25 years, Rachel and Colin Redman built SEN Books into a trusted source of SEND resources, travelling to numerous SEN and Inclusion Conferences across the UK and operating a highly regarded mail-order service. In 2007, they acquired Egon Publishers, further expanding our collection to include over 140 of our own titles designed to support students struggling with literacy and numeracy skills.
In 2024, SEN Books entered a new chapter, becoming part of SEND Group Ltd. Under the leadership of Arran and Lucy Smith, we are continuing the Redmans' legacy of excellence while bringing a fresh perspective to our offerings. Arran, with his extensive experience in dyslexia, neurodiversity, and education, is dedicated to ensuring SEN Books remains a valuable resource for SEND professionals and parents alike.
SEND Group, whose mission is to empower your achievement, is known for delivering training, resources, and support to the SEND community. With their guidance, SEN Books will continue to grow while remaining at the heart of the SEND field.
We look forward to continuing our tradition of providing specialist books, now with the backing of SEND Group’s expertise and wider reach. Whether you’re a SENCo, Teaching Assistant, SEN Governor, or parent, we invite you to explore our range and connect with us at one of the many conferences we attend across the UK. We’re here to support you in making a positive impact on students’ lives.
