Consonant Blends and Sound Matching adds more phonic sounds that underpin the learning of English. The sounds are set out in the pattern laid down in the 2014 English Curriculum and pupils are presented with a range of activities that include opportunities to sound out the phonemes, gain vocabulary through reading and writing and practise blending sounds.
