Dyslexia-friendly Practice in the Secondary Classroom

This standard-based text offers accessible advice and information aimed specifically at trainee, new and inexperienced teachers on the needs of the dyslexic learner in the mainstrem secondary school.  Ir combines a picture of the ways in which schools are expected to provide overall support for dyslexic pupils with the practical ways in whcich the general classroom or subject teacher can facilitate support across the curriculum.  Through case-studies and tasks, it builds trainee's confidence in their ability to deal with the variety of situations that can arise when dealing with Specific Learning Difficulties.  It offers a range of coping strategies and practical advice based upon the authors' experience of working with dyslexic learners in different contexts over many years.
