Dyslexia: Assessing the Need for Access Arrangements

This latest edition, published May 2011, has been edited by Anwen Jones, South Worcestershire College, and contains the latest advice and guidance to assessors for exam access arrangements.  PATOSS have included a number of new tests in the recommended range of tests that will be accepted by the Joint Council for Qualifications. The guidance explains what is meant by “substantial difficulties” and how much extra time may be granted for students in need, plus advice on how to set-up the arrangements to meet with the examination boards’ requirements.
